My artwork is my transport to the oceans. When I work on these pieces, I am immersed in their world. I can observe and yet not disturb them by creating them.

They represent the natural world and have also become part of me. When I have finished a piece, it doesn’t belong to me, it stands alone. I am compelled to honour the delicate, intricate and ancient ecosystem that has inspired their creation.
